Mount Moriah School - Estb. Circa 1870

Mount Moriah School was located on Cty FFF. Take Cty H west from Marquette, turn right on Cty FF at the Welsh Chapel and proceed to Cty FFF, turn right (north), school was on the east side of the road a short distance after turning onto Cty FFF.  Wilmer Gorske began his teaching career here after one year of training at the Green Lake County Normal School at Berlin, teaching all 8 grades. Later, Mr. Gorske became a Superintendent over many of the country schools in the Marquette area. The school was moved to the Village of Kingston in the late1940s or early 1950s.

Marquette Historical society would like to obtain the names of the teachers and students who attended this school.
