Lakeview School-Est. 1869 (a.k.a Hickory Point School)

Lakeview School was located on Puckaway Road west of Marquette approximately 2.5 miles. The building still exists and is used now as a summer cottage.

Mrs. Davidson,Mrs. Petruske(sp),Fern Zimmerman, Mrs.Zacharias, and Edwin Bauman were some of the teachers at this school. Some of the students who attended the school were Walter Hanna, Clarence Teal, Eunice Zacharias (?), Eddie,Merlyln, Ardis,Elaine,Leland and Wilbert Schueler, Millie Dahlke,Paul Zacharias and his siblings, Rowley and Rudy.

Thank you to Richard Ebert who provided some of the above information. He attended this school beginning in 1944 and completed the 4th grade, then finished 5-8 at the Marquette School.
