Delores Schweder nee Strahota wrote a most interesting story of The Armistice Day storm in 1940 that roared through Wisconsin causing numerous deaths, especially of duck hunters. Her story is a direct account of the event on Lake Puckaway which included her father, Marvin Strahota, who rescued numerous duck hunters stranded on the lake during that horrific storm. Marvin received a heroism award for his efforts.
